Parking is going to be a bit tight, so if you are able to carpool from your hotel or house, it may be a helpful thing!
Our driveway is reserved for those who are helping put on the party - the DJ, piano guy, bartenders, food preparation, etc. Please only use the driveway for pick up and drop off.
Just up the road from our house on the left is a private road: Owl Creek. The neighbors who live in the two homes on that road are both away the day of our party and we have been given permission to park all along their dirt road and in their driveways. They do suggest not parking on the steep portions, and to all pick the same side (the right side as you head up the hill). There is a deep gutter along some of the road, so please be careful. There is also a grassy area that can pack in 10 or so cars at the first house. And a few parking spots by the sugar shack at the 2nd house.
The back up plan to Owl Creek is on the opposite side of Brigham Hill Road - these neighbors have offered to allow people to park at their house and also along the road at the wider areas. Please be mindful of not trapping anyone in!
Option #3 will be a the bottom of Brigham Hill Road - across the street is a dirt road which leads to a small parking lot and trail head: The Bill Ballard Trail. This is a 5 minute uphill walk to our house.
Option #4 (should we need it!) will be at Huntley Meadow Field parking lot. That will be a 10 minute walk to our house.
Also, please make sure you have a safe way to get home! There are some people opting to bring tents and sleepover......... that is certainly an open option to anyone!!

The Scene
We have been hard at work organizing what we hope will be one of the best parties you've ever attended! We are already at 140 confirmed attendees, with RSVPs still rolling in!!! We can't wait to see you all!
Here's where we stand for the plan...........
THE FRONT LAWN:
The front lawn is the flattest part of our property, and will be the location of the large tent, should you be looking for protection from sun or rain. There will be several tables if/when you need a place to sit at any point in the evening. The BBQ spread (Big Fatty's BBQ in White River Junction, VT) will be set up on the front lawn, along with bar #1 (open bar). Additionally, there will be a restroom trailer set up on our driveway. Inside facilities will be reserved for those who just can't deal with even a fancy restroom trailer!
NORTH GABLE:
The transition from front yard to back yard is most easily achieved via the north side of the property. Down the small path to the veggie garden you will find Darren, head chef at Candela's, serving up some of our favorites from Candela's in Hanover, NH, including their amazing fish tacos! This is an amazingly special gift to be able to have them come as they do not do catering! Thank you owner Jimmy and chef Darren!
BACKYARD:
Lawn games will be located all the way at the bottom of the grassy hillside, including Bocce, Kubb, and Can Jam. Please bring any lawn games that you enjoy playing. The back stone terrace will be the dance floor. Located near the grove of birch trees, Thai / Laotian food will be served up by Pahphan and her family from Lyme, NH. She has been building schools back in her home country Laos with donations that she has received for the past several decades. We have encouraged her to set up a donation jar for this purpose. Open bar #2 will be located in the back, just down the hill from the dance floor. Multiple cocktail tables will be spread throughout the property, front and back.
UPPER BACKYARD DECK:
This is where the entertainment will be! Besides a DJ, we also have the band THE LUCK from Los Angeles coming to our party! They are a brother and sister duo who are most certainly on the rise in the Bay Area, recently airing on the radio and internet via live streaming. Additionally, an a cappella duo promise to perform for us. AND then, of course, there is always open mic time if you are musically inclined and want to perform. As the evening turns to dusk, the party slowly moves inside with a pianist performing in piano bar style.... get your requests ready and your voice in good practice. Sing alongs guaranteed to start up!
GUESTBOOK / CARDS / etc:
Behind the entertainment deck is an entrance into our dining room. In there gifts and cards can be placed, and there will be a guest book for you to please sign!! If you have a contribution toward the purchase of our greenhouse, there will be a specially marked box for this purpose. Thank you!!
PHOTOGRAPHER:
Please please please make sure you have at least one photo taken of you. We want to capture everyone on this very special occasion. Our photographer is my awesome nephew Alex, and he is SO good at what he does!

The Greenhouse
Hartley Botanic is an award winning English greenhouse designer and producer. Handmade since 1938, they are clearly as much a piece of art as they are functional.
As we continue the renovating and re-doing of our home and landscaping, next summer we hope to design and build a formal garden on our front lawn with a Victorian greenhouse taking center stage. If you would like to help fund our dream, we would be so very grateful. Thank you for helping our garden grow!

While the wedding was a surprise on Christmas Day 2016 (Our Marriage), the after party is NOT!
